So I’ve been in NYC for fashion week since Thursday and I couldn’t be happier to be going back home to LA tomorrow. Don’t get me wrong I love coming to fashion week but I’m ready to return to the land of sunny winters and eighty-degree temperatures in February. Everyone told me I wouldn’t be ready for the cold that I was about to encounter and all those people were in fact correct! Though I was excited to experience snowfall for the first time in forever, the winter brisk slapped me right in the face.
I was told the secret to surviving a New York City winter is layers but I quickly discovered that I was missing one very essential one—long johns! Apparently on this day it was one of the coldest ones yet, but to someone coming from LA that didn’t make a difference. The days after were just as cold! These pictures are from a nice afternoon break that I had between shows at Lincoln Center, so I took the chance to meet up with a dear old friend in Noho for some lunch and to shoot this outfit too. I’m really glad I ended up buying these pants and this backpack before I left for fashion week because not only were they truly functional but the compliments I kept getting for both were endless.
Make sure you check my blog throughout the week for some more fun adages from my cold fashion week adventures!
