Spring has officially sprung and with that I want to discuss one of my favorite trends for men’s fashion this season—the new age beach grunge made popular by the Saint Laurent runway and Hedi Slimane’s designs. Mixing the effortless laidback California style with a dash of Kurt Cobain throwbacks, Hedi has reimagined 90s grunge with reworked staples as well as some elevated options of the classic style. As obsessed as I have been with this collection there is no denying that some of the price points are pretty ridiculous and not easily attainable for every fashion aficionado. For those of us not part of the one percentile I have recreated four of my favorite looks from the SS16 men’s show with cheaper alternatives and may or may not have thrown in a splash of Saint Laurent in there too!
Next I’ll tackle a pocket friendly copy of the Gucci runway—another of my latest fashion obsessions as well.
