It’s no stranger that I am a music aficionado as much as the next creative type, but my music infatuations are heavily influenced by almost anything and everything house/electronic/techno/EDM related—whatever label you choose I don’t care. Before you spare me the lecture about how I’m such a band wagoner for listening to this type of music let me first say that I was an early pioneer for this genre since my high school days. In my early teen years and even during my freshman year at USC, I was labeled that “weird kid who listens to European techno crap”. Well in case you live under a rock, this genre of music has gone through a zealous influx in popularity in the last four to five years and artists are making six to seven figures for concert, club or festival appearances.
Why do I bring this up you might ask? I’m getting to it! For the longest time I’ve wanted to present some shopable product to my readers but every other fashion blogger and their mother already does that. Instead of just posting some goodies that I’m coveting I thought I’d one up the others and do you an even more solid. I’m serving you up some shopping options along with a track of inspiration…I’m basically schooling you on style and music at the same time! Play the song and read the lyrics and picture what you’re listening to as the soundtrack to the outfit in front of you. You know how a song can stir up a certain emotion to the listener? Well these outfits are what I picture my character wearing to the tune of this soundtrack in the background…it’s the costume necessary to embark on the journey paved by this melody as the sound waves enter your ear and put your mind into a trance.
Put those headphones on and get lost in some sick clothes and sexy beats!

I wanted to stay
Everyone was pale and faded
Zelo is hesitated
When it was time to turn on
I wanted to stop
My eyes were so dilated
The traffic seemed syncopated
And my car turned me on
I’m driving to heaven
Driving to heaven
And there’s no way back…
I’m driving to heaven
Driving to heaven
And there’s no way back home
I wanted to breathe
The air had been confiscated
The ground was unrelated
And the light turned me on
I’m driving to heaven
Driving to heaven
And there’s no way back home
I wanted to stop
My eyes were so dilated
The traffic seemed syncopated
And my car turned me on
I’m driving to heaven
Driving to heaven
And there’s no way back…
I’m driving to heaven
Driving to heaven
And there’s no way back home
